Conclusion of the ‘Toe Talatalanoa Overseas Program’- Publication of Report approved by Cabinet.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga – The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources proudly announces the successful conclusion of the 'Toe Talatalanoa Overseas Program' initiated to engage and address the concerns of Tongan communities abroad beginning from Australia and later on in New Zealand and the United States of America. The program, led by the Honourable Minister Lord Tu’i’afitu, commenced on December 5th and concluded on December 22nd, 2023, marking a significant milestone in fostering stronger connections with our Tongan community.

The program’s primary goal was to bridge communication gaps, provide vital information, and address pressing land-related issues faced by Tongans residing in Australia. Throughout this visit, the Minister and the accompanying delegation visited various cities, including Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane in Australia, interacting closely with Tongan communities to understand their needs and aspirations.

The report summarizing the comprehensive activities, discussions, and outcomes of the ministerial visit is now available for public viewing. This report captures the efforts made by the Ministry to enhance operational efficiency, rebuild public trust, and improve service delivery, aligning with the core objectives of the 'Toe Talatalanoa Overseas Program'.
